I get about 3 annoying SPAM txts per day to my cell phone advertising “MSN, Y, AIM & MySpace on your phone” directing me to download at their site http://gizmo5.com. I have phone service through Verizon Wireless. Does anyone know how to make them stop without having to block receiving all e-mails to my cell phone through Verizon?

You can try texting unsubscribe back to it.
However, there is no way to forcibly stop them from texting. You cant block texting for specific locations.
The only thing you can do is put a complete texting block on your phone by contacting your provider.
They got your number because at some point you probably got a free ringtone or something off the web. Doing so adds your number to spam lists.

Palm webOS computer restarts with and Windows Mobile planning to do the same with Windows Mobile seventh(relatively) new players in the game, iPhone and Android, introduced new philosophies and innovative features, while distancing the churning Blackberry, pager back in history and tradition in front of the keyboard, the Blackberry today is simply, but accurately, a better BlackBerry than yesterday.
And to tell you guys the truth, I love my Blackberry. Although it is a completely different experience than the experience of Android, a lot of love and learn from the Blackberry.

I have an Orange PAYG phone, and I am very happy with it except that they keep sending me annoying text messages. Most of these are cryptic and mean nothing to me, for example “you have not qualified for magic numbers”. Others are obviously Marketing “top up with £10 today and get free text messages” and so on.
They always seem to arrive at annoying times; in meetings but when I have to have the phone on because i am expecting an urgent call. Is there any way to opt out of these?
